Perplexity

How Perplexity answers a local question

Perplexity cites sources. Consistent listings and reviews give it something specific to point at.

Oct 30, 2026

Perplexity often answers with a short list and links. For a local query, those links may be roundups, map results, or the business's own site.

Frontage does not place those citations. It tracks whether your shop was named when the same prompt is run several times, next to the competitors you already watch.

Useful prep

  • Keep the Google Business Profile category and services specific.
  • Reply to reviews so the public record mentions the real visit.
  • Use the same name, address, and phone on the profile and the website.

A mention in one Perplexity answer can disappear in the next. The visibility report is a sample over time, not a rank you can buy.
